To better connect with growing Asian real estate investors, a Tasman real estate agent is learning Mandarin.
At the Brisbane Street Mall, interest is becoming more and more obvious, with a new half of the sales sign
Written in Mandarin
The Nest estate agent Gary Reeves is responsible for the sale.
This is the first time he has written a sign for sale in Mandarin, he said.
\"We believe that suppliers and I believe that it is likely to be Chinese or Asian buyers of the business,\" he said . \".
\"It doesn\'t exclude locals or mainlanders, but we believe they will be there, and it\'s where we are very interested.
\"Reeves revealed that he has also been learning the language in order to better connect with potential buyers in Asia.
\"I have been learning this language, but I am not proficient,\" he said . \".
Four years later, Reeves said he had sold several small commercial properties and homes to Chinese investors.
He said the interest in the region is growing, partly because of youth learning.
\"There are a lot of students from all over the world who come here and they fall in love with this place,\" he said . \".
Mr Reeves\'s assessment was supported by Sarah Hirst, investment general manager at Tasmania.
Mrs Hurst\'s company is focused on attracting local, interstate and international investment.
She said international investors, including Europeans, were attracted by the \"pure, green environment\" of Tasmania.
\"It was a very exciting time for tazhou, especially in the north,\" she said . \".
Although clean air contrasts with the sultry sky in Beijing, Mrs Hurst also said the government provided a good economic environment.
\"The value of the Tasmania state is very high, and the return on investment is also very good,\" she said . \"
But Mr Hirst says foreign investors are facing challenges.
She called on the government to remove red tape and remove obstacles.
According to Mrs Hurst, it is also difficult to purchase Tasman agricultural products for large foreign markets.
To address this issue, tazhou investment is working with the state government to develop a plan of origin and a strategy to promote organic products.
\"We believe this is a key step forward and can proudly and confidently brand our products,\" she said . \".
With the increase in foreign investment, business buyers often look for locals to run businesses, which provides a great opportunity for Tasman people, Mrs Hurst said.
