A new study suggests that HEPA filters may help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease caused by exposure to indoor air pollution.

The researchers found that the HEPA filter reduces the level of particulate matter in the air, thus improving vascular health and reducing blood markers associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
The study was published online in January.
The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Medicine published 21 articles in advance.
