brace yourself toronto, 2019 is not looking good

by:Yovog     2023-06-19
The sooner 2018 ends, the better.
It was a terrible disaster for Toronto, just as terrible as what Queen Elizabeth suffered in 1992.
This year, the situation in this city is getting worse and worse.
It was disappointing that John Tory was elected mayor for his second term, but Doug Ford led the provincial Conservatives to victory.
The new prime minister of Ontario showed the strong instinct of the Banana Republic and soon reached a real and imagined settlement with Toronto.
His first move was to cut city council members from 47 to 25.
When they first met last week, the room looked hollowed out, burned and almost abandoned.
Is it half full or half empty?
It\'s okay.
It is clear that the burden cannot be met by the new streamlined committee.
There is more work to be done than ever before, with only half the number of members.
In the previous report, Joe Cressy, a member, will serve on 10 boards and committees.
How many places can a person have at a time?
At the same time, there were few members of the Council to maintain a heated debate.
Maybe the echo will distract.
The politicians in the suburbs are not surprised.
Thanks to Torley.
Will continue to dominate.
That means Toronto has a chance to make it big-
The potential of the city is unpredictable in the foreseeable future.
The once passive Conservative Party must be lifted.
Lowering expectations and reducing the number of members of parliament means less pressure in dealing meaningfully with the city\'s most pressing issues --
Global warming, homelessness, affordable, and heavy traffic.
He can continue his old car.
The central vision of a city
The suburbs must know that the parliament-appointed rubes are on his side.
What\'s worse is the naked contempt for Ford\'s intervention and the false reasons he thinks the arrest committee will save money.
He even knew it was nonsense.
It is pure and simple, though.

Unless the Toronto council changes its mind | Christopher Hume: Ford\'s TTC intervention is too far away, but maybe it\'s too early to call 2018 our terrible anos;
Under Ford, anything could happen.
Ford has no time yet to turn Ontario\'s place into a casino, take over port land or upload the Metro.
None of these initiatives would benefit Toronto, but the possibility of requisition of crossings in the province is indeed worrying.
It will be a city.
Like debris we have never seen before.
Although TTC is mediocre, it is the best hope in Toronto.
The Commission has not had a real chance because of long-term underfunding, mismanagement and endless political intervention.
In fact, it did a great job considering everything.
Ford also quickly developed the Hearn power station, an important seaside asset that was quickly, quietly and cheaply sold to long-
Time-Conservative donors
People can\'t help but ask what is the motive behind this move.
Did Ford help another friend?
Was he kicking the beach when Toronto fell into the water?
When it comes to the Toronto waterfront, Ford\'s decision to dismiss three provincial appointees from the board of directors was shocking, but not surprising.
Clearly, their sins were appointed by liberals.
Don\'t forget the green belt.
During the campaign, Ford secretly promised a room full of builders who would open it for development, but after the video of the conference was released, he promised not to do so.
Now, he has proposed the law to allow the municipalities to do dirty work for him.
The green belt is the source of drinking water in Toronto and a supplier of fresh food and air purifiers.
It also slowed the expansion of the suburbs. Short-
Vision and self
The destruction did not begin to describe the move;
Ford\'s crazy desire to get rid of Ontario\'s Liberal legacy is like America. S.
President Donald Trump urgently needs to erase all traces of Barack Obama.
Also in the spirit of Trump, Ford canceled many of Ontario\'s environmental legislation.
For future generations, the price is immeasurable.
Ford soon attracted Moody\'s attention.
Last week, the bond rating agency downgraded Ontario\'s credit rating due to $14 in Ontario. 5-

Worst of all, however, is how Toronto is deprived of all control over its fate.
This control always exists when the province is happy, but under Ford\'s leadership, excuses, not to mention gloves.
Queen\'s Park has been taken over and everything is possible.
The torotonians will calculate the new year with great fanfare as usual.
2019 will certainly be better, though welcome.
Ford\'s team will see that.
