A survey released on Wednesday found that readers have more problems in improving fuel economy technology than electronic information entertainment systems, which have long been a worry for automakers and car owners.
Jack Fisher, the magazine\'s director of automotive testing, said the mechanical problems with small turbocharged engines and multi-gear transmissions could put people in trouble, not just frustrated with speech recognition or other technologies.

Mazda, Subaru, Kia, Infiniti, Audi, BMW, Mini and Hyundai are among the top 10 brands.
Volvo has the worst reliability, followed by Cadillac, Tesla, Ram and GMC.
Asian or Korean brands account for 7 of the top 10.
Tesla dropped 6 last year and is now 27.
GM Buick, usually top
10 Terminator, down 11 points to No. 19.
Ford is the highest. ranked U. S.

Fisher said that domestic brands are largely plagued by problems with new models.
