our future: it’s time to get our heads out of the coal pit

My childhood lived outdoors like most farmers.
The flooded stream is our soundtrack for the rainy season.
That crabby, the crank starts the piston pump and has a relationship with our basic lifeblood, water, which is both a reversing track and a melodious connection.
Now that I am an adult woman with my own children, a farm overdraft service and a dam, I have to worry about the impact of climate change --
Many families in agriculture
Adapt and explore new ways to deal with the soul
Damage to drought and water shortage.
So when American farmers go through the battlefield of climate change, our federal government has been unable to solve the cause of the problem: burning fossil fuels.
Instead, they control rising emissions and are obsessed with building the world\'s largest thermal coal mine.
Coal mines not only promote climate change by increasing carbon emissions, but also risk valuable groundwater systems.
Extracting a large amount of water from the ground to run a coal mine will affect the flora and fauna that depend on it and destroy the natural water input of the river system.
In fact, many Australian rivers rely more on groundwater than direct rainfall to maintain water flow.
For example, the ancient Doongmabulla Springs complex near the proposed Carmichael mine site.
Studies have shown that the mine may exhaust the entire aquifer that supplies water to these springs.
Nor can we ignore the huge health risks that coal mines pose to people living nearby.
When people breathe in the smoke released from the chimney of the coal mine, the particles enter their lungs, causing respiratory diseases and diseases.
Anyone living in an area knows the importance of clean air and appreciates the beauty of our countryside every day.
We cherish the isolated towns we live in.
But if we allow big companies to grow in our original environment, we have the potential to destroy or lose those ecosystems.
Mining projects such as Carmichael of Adani and Acland phase 3 of New Hope should never be allowed to proceed.
The risk of our land is too great.
So, let\'s take our heads out of the coal mine and turn them into reality.
We must recognize how much climate change has affected our natural environment and embrace a new sustainable, clean and vibrant lifestyle.
