my shop aircleaner (reclaimed wood and motor)

by:Yovog     2023-06-23
Let me show you my latest shop air purifier.
The whole cleaning agent is made of three in one waste from the special tray when we work.
The motor has a connected jet fan that can generate ridiculous airflow speeds.
Look at my pictures.
Below is the shape of the box I started.
The filter comes from the professional air purifier of recordpower.
So the only \"calculation\" I do is the size of the filter (
Wich is easy to buy and extensive and not that expensive)
The size of the fan motor, so it\'s all in a box.
I tried to eliminate some noise due to some noise from the blower, so I made a port and I will reduce the foam cover with sound later.
This is a funnel that softens the sound of speed.
I didn\'t do a lot of calculations because it was a trial and error. (wich worked)
So, this is the first sound insulation.
I have left a lot since these insulated foam were removed from Room.
Luckily, I stuck them together with a double-sided tape, so none of them scratched.
Now stick them together with Buffalo glue. (
So it\'s solid when it\'s dry)
The motor came from an abandoned industrial haircutting system.
So all of it is reduced to a minimum (
The heating system is burnt out and the box is cracked)
With some homemade ideas, stick fanhouse together with ca and hotglue to form all shapes with heated plastic (
Well, basically no one sees the motor when the box is closed)
There\'s more insulation in the tunnel.
It also hid some of the motor noise inside it.
Close the box and draw it a little.
I think it will come next week.
I also installed a simple and cheap speed controller for the motor (3bucks on ebay.
2000Wmax regulator)
I also need to make a small case for the regulator.
It can be perforated metal, so it can cool down.
But first of all, I need to find some at the local scrap station.
The regulator also helps to reduce noise.
Of course, it will get less in lower mode, but the same cleaning is not always needed inside the store.
When I work with a lathe or table, the noise is not \"so noisy\" as it overlaps with other machines.
At the end of the day, it was all right and the box was really rotten. . .
Good way!
It looks better when it\'s done with the final coat and covers the rag breaker, but now it\'s already working for my woodworking hobby.
I may post the completed work here later. (
I say people who read this later can do so; -))
