morf india to launch new range of kelvinator home water purifiers

Chennai: Morf India, which makes the Kelvinator brand of household water purifiers, will launch a range of water purifiers at different prices to expand its influence across the country.
The company is involved in home water purification and sewage treatment plants in the institutional and industrial sectors with the goal of earning Rs 150 from the Kelvinator home purifier over the next three years.
It now has a turnover of Rs 10 from this segment.
Morf India has signed a brand licensing agreement with Electrolux Home Products to produce and sell its Kelvinator series home water purifiers and air purifiers in India and Sri Lanka.
Morf sells Kelvinator Ayoni in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, and plans to bring this product and its new products to Delhi, said MV Praveen, managing director, morf India, Ahmadinejad.
The company also wants to increase its presence in retail stores, he said.
With this, Morf will shift the focus from industrial water purification and sewage treatment to household water purification and will compete with companies such as Puit, Unilever, Stan, India, tata swells in India\'s 1800 rupees water purifier market.

Praveen said Capvent AG, a PE fund based in Morf, India, received a 51% majority stake in funds that will be used to develop new products and national expansion.
