It is no wonder that the air purifier market has risen steadily over the past few years.
By the end of 2017, sales in the market had increased by more than half.
Air pollution and rising pm2. 5 were reported in the newspaper. 5 concentration.
Keep this in mind, the introduction of air purifiers-AirOk --
It seems very timely in the last week of July.
Three engineering graduates from IIT began in April 2015.
It took three years to develop this product and finally launched it commercially.
Pavan Reddy, co-founder and director of AirOk, told Business Standard that the current air pollution situation requires them to pay more attention to air purifiers than any other environmental project they plan.
"I met with Shravan and Dikshit (two other founders of AirOk) under the same professor at IIT while continuing our project.
"The idea of the product is the idea of Shravan, which we developed together and gave it a name," he said . ".
AirOk has sold its B2C rights to LivPure, which has now entered the field of water purifiers.
"They will launch air purifiers on the market this winter," Reddy said . " He added that the startup spirit of the LivPure team is an important factor in both companies.
The SAR group, which includes the entire LivPure brand series, invested $2 million in AirOk in November 2016.
Reddy said that when everyone knows about dust, pollen, pet dandruff and particles, what are the contaminants in the air and the ones that cause our greatest harm are microscopic, such as mold, virus, bacteria and gas chemicals
AirOk's smart air purifier can detect the degree of contamination according to the concentration of the pollutant and automatically control the fan speed.
Reddy quickly pointed out three parameters, what's the difference between them and other air purifiers on the market.
He claims they are completely "made in India" products, but he says they get parts from Chennai's manufacturing unit.
The entire structure is installed in a production facility in Chennai Jindi.
Most other air purifiers are imported from China or Japan, he added.
Secondly, while most other purifiers are good at removing dust particles, they do not filter out bacteria in the air, unpleasant smells, etc.
"Other purifiers use HEPA filters that are able to remove only dust particles, while we AirOk use EGAPA filters to remove these trace elements from the air," Reddy added . ".
They even registered their filter name.
The third difference, he says, is the design of the product.
Most air purifiers flow in one direction, while AirOk flows 360-degree airflow.
In B2B, AirOk has been able to sell 20 sets of products to commercial buildings since its launch in Julyend.
They hope to sell 4,000 units by March 2019.
At present, 100 units of their production facilities are ready.
In a team of 18 people, they assigned the work very effectively.
Five deal with production, four marketing and sales, the other five focus purely on R & D, and one for HR and administration and sales.
From where they started, Reddy said, they had little business experience and now they have learned how to purchase and build supply chain and supplier management.
"It's a learning experience for all of us.
"While we have been sourcing from a supplier in Chennai, it is a difficult process to choose the right supplier and ensure the quality of the product," he concluded . ".
