WEEE Ireland sees record level of electrical waste recycling last year  -  small electrical appliances
The electrical and battery recycling program, Ireland e Ireland, has recovered a total of 35,708 tons of electronic products

According to the report, in 2017, 68% of all household and dual-use electrical and electronic equipment put on the market by WEEE Irish members was recycled.
WEEE Ireland says this ensures it is still on track to exceed its target of 65% by 2019.

WEEE Ireland also said it captured 120,000 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions by recycling refrigerators and freezers at specialized facilities.
The group also surpassed EU targets in waste portable battery collection, with the number of collections increasing from 812 tons to 874 tons.
It says that it marks another year of success for the "per battery count" campaign in Laurilin, proving how the "blue box" is synonymous with school battery recycling, retailers and businesses across Ireland.
Leo Donovan, CEO of WEEE Ireland, said that for everyone involved in Ireland e Ireland, its 2017 transcripts show that its approach to Ireland's WEEE compliance is still the bestin-class.
But he warned that complacency could not be allowed.
"We will only achieve long term
If we continue to manage our e-commerce, changes in terms and benefits to the environment
