"As an additional precaution, the health board has a portable HEPA filter unit installed in a specific area that filters air continuously.
NHSGCC said that during the investigation, there were separate problems with the sealing materials of some shower rooms.
The company says the repair work is in progress and the repair team is working to resolve the problem as soon as possible with minimal disruption speed.
The health committee added that as a further precaution, a specific group of patients is being transferred to the hospital due to clinical diagnosis and ongoing treatment.
Monica Lennon, shadow health minister of the Scottish Labor Party, said: "It's a tragic news that we have thoughts on the families and friends of the two dead.
"As a matter of urgency, patients and the wider public need to be assured that this unit is safe.
"The Scottish government and the Health Commission must ensure that appropriate investigations are conducted in a timely manner and that health minister Jeane Freeman must update Parliament as early as possible.
"This is a shocking discovery that will attract the attention of staff, patients and families," Scottish Conservative Glasgow MSP Anne Wells said . ".
"Until the situation escalates, it is essential to control the situation.
"An urgent investigation is required to obtain the answers requested by the family.
A spokesman for the Scottish Government said: "The issues that we and the Health Council are most concerned about remain the safety and well-being of patients and their families in hospitals.
"Two isolated cases of rare fungal infection in the site of Queen Elizabeth University Hospital are being examined, both of which were detected in December 2018.
"The controls are in place, including the installation of portable efficient air filters in wards and adjacent areas.
