Mohammed Anwar, a 46-year-old owner, tells the story that Evan and his brother are regular customers in his store.
He said, "Evan is such a good boy.
I called him "my son" because I had a boy of the same age.
"The day before the fire, he bought candy with pocket money here.
For most of yesterday, fire and police investigation teams stayed at the hotel.
Every window in the house was opened and blackened from the sun.
One seems to melt in the heat.
Outside the building, children's toys can be seen in the garden, and Robert Scott, assistant chief officer for fire and rescue services at Strathclyde, told us how the emergency response was faced with "thick, when they arrived at the scene, black smoke and incredible heat ".

Strathclyde Police east Ayrshire regional commander William Brown added: "The investigation is at a very early stage and we will work closely with our colleagues in the fire and rescue departments.
"We will have a detailed inspection of the house.
"A family has dealt with a tragic event at the happiest time of the year, and they should celebrate Christmas together and look forward to the new year.
