Host: Good evening, Lawrence. Thank you.
Thank you for staying with us for an hour at home.
Happy Patriot Festival
Today is the Patriot Day in the state of Malaysia, a day to commemorate the famous gunshots heard around the world, and the opening gunshots of Lexington Green at the beginning of the American Revolution.
The Patriot Festival means that if you live in Massachusetts, I don't think your state tax will expire today.
Because today is a holiday, it will be handed in tomorrow.
Elsewhere in the country, today is the deadline for paying taxes.
Today's tax day means tea party.
Remember when the tea party should represent "enough tax? ” right?
On the tax day of 2009 and 2010, there are very large tea party rallies across the country.
Two years ago, 4,000 to 5,000 people gathered on Tax Day in Olympia, Washington.
Their numbers were good last year.
They have about 3,000 people.
This year, the Washington state tea party group called for a third annual tea party rally.
Will they get 4,000 or 5,000 people like they did two years ago?
Will they get 3,000 people as they did last year?
No, they won't.
There are 350 of them.
At a Republican stronghold in Orange County, California, this is some of the reports of big tax day tea party protests there. (

Tea Party protesters gathered on Laguna Beach on Saturday to protest higher taxes and raise awareness of their careers. (END VIDEO CLIP)MADDOW: a dozen.
Not including people in bikini.
Tea Party protesters are also planning a big rally in Chicago, Illinois today.
Local media have told Chicago that thousands of Tea Party demonstrators are expected.
Chicago actually got hundreds.
They even have a presidential candidate.
They have a pizza guy named Herman Kane.
Herman Kane is one of the four presidential candidates for the New Hampshire tea party's big flag Concorde on Friday.
The four presidential candidates are Rick Santorum, Herman Kane, Buddy Romer, and Tim Borenstein --
Four people appeared at a large tax day tea party at the New Hampshire Union.
There are four presidential candidates in New Hampshire, 300 of whom are present.
To be fair, however, this may have something to do with where Tim Borenstein is.
Everything, sir.
Pornetti also appears today that there are very few attendees. Mr.
Pornetti also attended the Tax Day Tea Party in Des Moines, Iowa.
Can you see the overwhelming crowd?
He spoke generously to a room that was not very stand-up and had only about 300 people in it.
Remember Sharun point, Nevada.
Sharon ante was favored to beat Harry Reid in the state's competitive Senate campaign last fall.
Sharron point heads this time at the Tax Day Tea Party in Las Vegas, which attracted about 250 people during the peak.
But it is reported that when Sharron Angle started doing so, the number there dropped to about 100 people. (
Play video clips)
She's fine.
Some 150 people who attended the rally earlier missed this.
By the time she sang, there were already dozens.
Sharron Angle, even though I mentioned you on this show, I never knew you were a good singer. I‘m sorry.
Even the tea party rally because of where they are, because of who is leading them, even your things, you will expect it to become very big
Those of you who think will brag about the turnout, they just don't really get a lot of people.
Places like Columbia, South Carolina, for example, deep red South Carolina.
They gave the floor to their newly elected current governor, Nikki Haley, and probably the most popular --
All possible Republican presidential candidates, Michelle mann, are delighted.
The gathering of Michelle bach man and Nikki Haley Tea Party once again attracted about 300 people.
It is reported that the same incident two years ago attracted 10 times as many people.
Where are they this year?
What's going on?
All these cities and state capitals have a very small population this year, compared to the cities and state capitals that have attracted tea parties in the last few years, when you consider last year and the year before, this is even more striking --
In addition to the large number of people attending all these rallies in the city, all these rallies in 2009 and 2010 of the cities are also competing for participants in the large tea party in Washington, D. C. C.
Keep in mind that thousands of tea parties have appeared in Washington on the tax day of 2009.
2010, same deal.
Thousands of people flocked to Washington, D. C. C.
In addition to all the rallies in the city and state capitals.
But this year, you know, the last few countries have called for tea parties to gather in Washington, generating very, very small crowds.
They didn't even try to call for a national tax day tea party rally in Washington. C. this year.
Just not one.
They did not.
So in all the cities in the state capitals where they held the rally, their turnout was very low.
They don't have one in Washington. C.
Still, it failed a bit.
I think this article has been hanging on the wall for a while about the power of the Tea Party.
Last month, a big tea party was held in Tampa, Florida.
It looks like this.
25 special speakers, including Republican Congressman Ron Paul, once again attracted about 300 people.
Big Room
Very large empty room with no one.
I'm not saying the tea party has never been so strong.
They have never had a vibrant political charm, but in terms of their public events --
When we say they are strong, that's what we use to judge them --
The tea party seems to have reached its peak.
It seems to be over.
Please tell Huancheng Avenue Press
The media around the city still believe that the Tea Party is a powerful force.
The diagnosis of the ring City Avenue media in turn gave them great influence in Washington.
Republicans are allowed to mark policy positions on the right side of where they might be, because they should answer this fierce, huge question, the vibrant street movement that will hold them accountable.
This has made the Republican negotiating position more and more biased towards the right, meaning after the Democrats tried to negotiate with them.
The policy outcomes of these negotiations have also moved further in the right direction.
As a big movement, there is not much empirical evidence of the existence of the Tea Party.
But as long as no one in Washington reports or notices this, Republicans in Washington can still use the tea party idea as a means, push the debate as correctly as possible when they want to push it forward.
A tax day tea party this year seems to be attended by any size of the crowd was held this weekend in Madison, Wisconsin.
Palin spoke there on Saturday.
She stood on the platform and said, "I'm from AFP.
This represents the prosperity of Americans.
Palin, I'm American, for prosperity.
"Americans for Prosperity" is an organization funded by the Koch brothers, which organized the rally and supported the Union --
Deprived Republicans of their rights in Wisconsin politics
The Madison rally on Saturday reportedly attracted about 6,000 people.
But there is an asterisk on this number that is bigger than the number itself, that is, it seems to exaggerate the number of Sarah Palin Tea Party events to a respectable level with a large number of anti-protesters, they were not there to cheer for Sarah Palin and the tea party, but they were there to express their disagreement with the two ladies.
Palin and Tea Party message.
Local news station WMTV described the heart of the tea party there and quoted Sarah Palin as saying she was "on both sides of the Union protesters ".
"If you want to talk about the political power that is shown on the streets, then the story of 2011 is the story of the foundation of democracy. Even if—
Even if you want to erase history, even if you want to ignore everyone's comments on the character of the Madison protesters, even if you decide to be a little generous and make everyone of these 6,000 cheering for Sarah Palin, instead of cheering for her, even if it's true, compare the number of 6,000 to this number --
Over the past few months, large rallies have been held in the same location for a week, 30,000 times a weekend, 70,000 times next weekend, and 100,000 times after that
To support the rights of the Union.
To be frank, no celebrity can see that there are no great Democrats gathering these people.
This is the basis for the Democratic Party to unite against the Republican Party.
In principle, there are policies for these people.
The same thing in Michigan, Lansing's State Council saw the biggest protests ever, Pro
Union protesters
Protesters there opposed the Republican way of budgeting.
The same is true in Columbus, Ohio.
Mass protests continued week after week.
No, hey, it's here this day.
These rallies, day after day.
In Olympia, Washington, I'm here to give an example of a tea party rally of 350 people this year.
At Olympia, Washington, when they have 4,000 or 5,000 people in 2009, they will look back on the glorious days, right?
As early as 2009, 4,000 or 5,000 people.
Probably when they reached their peak.
When 7,000 people protested the trade union divestiture and budget cuts in Olympia this month, did it get national coverage?
The other side of the question is the protesters?
I recognize that there is institutional resistance in covering the direct action protest movement, but if you say that the country and its politics have been changed by one side's protest on the street, then you will completely ignore the larger protest of the other side on the street, you guys, at least there should be an inconsistent explanation.
The possible explanation is that Republicans in Washington have always believed that the Tea Party is the constituency they need to answer.
They can hardly take responsibility for their own policy advice.
There are angry right-wing thugs on the street and they must be comforted.
Republicans leverage this.
They use the presence and supposed power of the Tea Party movement as leverage for the policy stance they want. Don‘t blame us.
We have to answer these questions.
We must be responsible for these people on the street.
This is the case, though.
Democrats can do the same.
Democrats can do this for better reasons.
Now there are more democratic foundations on the streets than the tea party, even in its heyday.
But Democrats did not.
Why don't they?
Republicans push every digital advantage they can.
Democrats often give up these advantages.
A proper example: who controls the United StatesS.
Now the Senate?
Democratic Party, right?
Who has the Democrats-
The controlled Senate is allowed to work on a deficit plan?
I mean, in the House, the Republicans are in charge.
But what is the basis of discussion in the house?
This is Paul Ryan's Republican budget plan for the house.
The Republican budget plan because they control the House.
As Paul Kruger wrote today, its first line is where the president failed, and House Republicans will lead --
In the House, Republicans control the side of the legislature, a very partisan approach.
On the other hand, the Democratic-controlled Senate.
So who is the Senate responsible for making plans in this regard?
They were done by bipartisan groups that split equally between Republicans and Democrats.
This "Gang of Six"
Democrats control the Senate, but they don't use their numbers.
Like they didn't do in the health care debate.
Do you remember the "Gang of Six?
Like they didn't do in the 2008 war on energy reform?
Remember the "Ten people?
Instead of taking advantage of the fact that voters gave them digital advantage in the agency, they gave up the Democratic Party --
The control body of a similarly divided bipartisan Gang effectively gave up their advantage.
Now on the street, Republicans don't have an advantage, but they are still following the old advantage they might have a year ago.
Democrats, on the other hand, now have an edge on the street and they don't use it.
They have one in the Senate and they don't use it. Why not?
Now joining us is Chris Hayes, a Washington editor at National magazine and a contributor to MSNBC. Mr.
Nice to meet you, Hayes.
Chris Hayes, MSNBC contributor: Nice to meet you too.
MADDOW: So, what do you think is the argument that the Tea Party's presence is being used to change the negotiating position of Republicans in Washington?
Is there 12 people on the beach in Orange County this weekend?
Is their mission to kill health insurance?
They are terrible.
I think it's true-
It's interesting, you know.
When you go through this opening ceremony, I think a lot about this issue.
Conservative David Flum has been saying this sentence, which is really true to me, that is, Republicans are afraid of their foundation, Democrats hate their foundation.
I think so-
The problem of who the base is becomes very tricky.
But let's talk about activists, right?
The loud voice that appeared in the protest.
The asymmetry between the two sides is absolutely true, and the Republicans are very-
Elected Republican leaders are more worried than Democrats about the core of their militants, Democrats-
There's nothing they like more than the Internet term hippie --Punch in, right?
It's a little big showing how far away they are from the left edge, how far away they are from their militant base, and Republicans seem to do the opposite, right?
They embrace it.
I don't know if this is culture or not, if this is about the nature of the core of the population on the basis of these activists, if this is some strange psychological formation process.
In fact, I 've thought about whether it's going to be like you go to law school, Yale, and you start to hate things like hippies --
I don't know what this is, but it's really true.
In this regard, there seems to be an asymmetry between the parties. Absolutely.
Well, that's why-
That's why I linked this to the "six-gang" phenomenon, because the "six-gang" phenomenon is that the Democratic Party has a digital advantage in the Senate, just gave it up, decided not to use it to come up with a purely democratic approach to reducing the deficit or budget, just as Republicans do in the house.
But, you know, kumbayah, we know we're in charge, but let's work together.
They did the same thing in health care reform.
They do the same thing over and over again in the Senate, and they are in charge of it.
I just want to know if this is-
In fact, this happens to basically ignore the thousands of people on Madison Street, ignoring the fact that their own digital advantage in the Senate is unwilling to impose that advantage.
Hayes: I think it's part of it.
I mean, the other thing I think is
You know, my gut feeling is that there's a power analysis here, right? basically, the Senate is a way of building institutions that are fundamentally on the conservative side.
So there's this imbalance because of things-
Now, as I said, there are 10,000 youth organizers in Washington attending the power transfer conference around the climate change organization, and you hear nothing.
They are on the street outside the Chamber of Commerce today, with thousands of people shouting and no one paying attention to them-as you said at the opening ceremony.
I think that part has to do with the fact that when you look at the U. S. Senate, basically, you know, it's a conservative body.
So, from the point of view of progress, people kind of roll the stone up the hill.
They hit them because the body itself tends to protect power and deep-rooted interests.
On the other side, it's very-
This is an easier agenda.
MADDOW: However, this explains the disconnect between the obvious power of the Tea Party as a movement and the honor they received on the ring road.
I mean, you'll see 12 people standing in front of Laguna Beach, but the local news agency is ready to report.
This will be the activity of the Tea Party.
The news agency did nothing wrong.
People want to know about their tea party activities.
But they are obviously very, very small things.
Hayes: I'll never know when this vicious circle started, but it's obviously become-
It's like being famous.
At some point you can never remember what Kim Kardashian did in the first place, but just like you know who Kim Kardashian is. But like—
Now you know who Kim Kardashian is.
So whatever Kim Kardashian does, you have to cover it up.
I think tea will be like this to some extent.
Make them famous.
Sarah Palin is a very similar phenomenon and I'm not sure how you broke it.
I mean, it's a difficult thing for all the media, including us, because people do want to know what the Tea Party is doing, but the more you report it, the more it looks like this huge thing.
I think that has weakened in many ways, especially since the election, which is a very important point.
Not just for the people of the country, but for elected officials who still have great advantages
The concept of the magnitude of its numerical strength.
MADDOW: Chris Hayes, Washington editor of National Magazine and contributor to MSNBC
Thank you for coming, my friend.
Hayes: Thank you very much, Rachel.
Next, a long story about Kim Kardashian. (

MADDOW: we can find that this year's tax day tea party attendance is very low across the country, which is a possible exception to the scarcity of people plaguing the shores of these Tea Party activities --to-
This is the coast today and the last few days.
According to your sources, it depends on the sources you trust, which attracts hundreds to 2,000 people in Boca Raton, Florida.
The tea party itself is the source of the figure 2,000.
But, you see, it's a healthy crowd.
Looks healthy.
We think there are more than anywhere else.
Unlike the Sarah Palin incident, the turnout in Boca Raton has not increased significantly because of anti-demonstrators.
When everyone in this country is a little broke, why would this tea party become a group of people?
Because this is starring reality TV star Donald Trump.
Maybe you heard it once or 1,000 times.
Trump has been flirting with the idea of running for president. His quasi-
The campaign is mainly based on a problem platform, which is the platform. Mr.
You may have heard that Trump is a bird. big-time.
By questioning President Obama's citizenship, he created headlines and a lot of free publicity for his reality show this season.
Again, the result is a big publicity for him, and maybe he makes money in some way through his TV show ratings. I don‘t know.
I can't let myself know long enough to care.
But he has a lot of publicity that could translate into his money, which would definitely translate into his extra name recognition, which would definitely translate into a voting number.
So, after a lot of noise from Donald Trump on the birther issue, as the first or second Republican presidential candidate, he is voting, which makes real Republicans a little scared.
House Majority Leader Eric last week?
Quoting Trump, "I don't think he's serious when we see the launch of a campaign that makes the birther problem weird. ”Mr.
Trump responded that way. (

What Trump said about the birthplace is true.
I mean, it's not about the substance of this issue.
Obviously, this is completely nonsense.
But when he said Republicans liked the issue, he was telling the truth.
Eric Conto may not like it, but Republicans like it, and those Hawaiian --
The born chicken is now home for Republicans.
It's not just an embarrassing successful candidate.
Trump may be one of the Republican voters.
In Arizona, chickens also began to live here.
Last week, the same legislature that brought you SB 1070, the same legislature passed a birther bill --
A bill that would block voting for presidential candidates who do not provide Arizona with a long-form birth certificate to prove their citizenship.
What is the long form birth certificate?
It's a birth certificate that says Arizona is not even issued.
It has not been done for several years, which means Arizona has just passed a bill in both houses of the legislature with its infinite wisdom, the bill will prevent future Arizona presidential candidates from appearing on the state's ballot.
But, vulnerability.
If you don't have that particular type of birth certificate that Arizona doesn't even issue, you can supplement your strange "proof of your citizenship to Arizona" file with additional documents, such as proof of circumcision.
I'm not making this up.
Why do you think I made this up?
That's what it says.
Foreskin surgery certificate
What do you have there, sir? Candidate?
Everyone in the world thinks your birth record is a completely official computer printout?
We, Ali onians, don't accept it.
But if you give us a document to prove it
Sometimes, after you are born, in your lower area, the knife work of religious significance, we will take it.
Just half an hour ago tonight, Arizona Republican Governor Brewer vetoed the bill on January, saying in her veto letter, "I never imagined someone would come up with a bill, ask the presidential candidates of the greatest and most powerful nation on earth to submit their record states such as early baptism or circumcision to the Arizona minister.
"The Legislature needs one or two.
More than Governor Brewer's veto, 30 majority.
Based on the vote on the birther bill, Republicans can easily do this --
This means that, despite the veto, it is still possible for this bill to become law.
Republican state Representative Carl Seel wrote the birther Act, which he told. P.
He had personally discussed the measure with Donald Trump, who liked it. Mr.
Seel did not say, sir.
Trump especially liked the warning of circumcision, but we have contacted him.
Trump's office asked him how he felt about the end of the bill.
We will let you know if we hear anything. (

MADDOW: Who is the most outrageous of the Republicans in 2011?
Yes, Scott Walker, the Republican governor of Wisconsin, is almost single.
With his trade union, he has pushed forward the democratic foundation of the whole country --
Divestiture expedition
Yes, Republican Governor John Kasic of Ohio. upped even Mr.
Walker only wants league.

Stripped for police and firefighters.

Yes, Rick Scott, Florida's Republican governor, keeps coming up with new categories for Florida residents he wants to force a drug test.
Drug testing, the governor happens to serve the following people
Health companies are profitable.
But in any recent game, the dark horse decided the most excessive --
The Republican governor who was elected in 2011 must be Rick Snyder, Michigan.
Governor Snyder is more than a union.
Divestiture, not just taxes the elderly and the poor for giving money to the company --
Rick Snyder has signed a new law allowing his government to cancel your voting rights at the local level.
If you elect a mayor, a town council, any local official in your town, the state led by Governor Snyder will now decide whether the election is important or not.
They will decide whether to allow your town to retain the results of your local election or whether they will overthrow them and impose their own results.
This is called "financial martial law", a new power Rick Snyder has just gained for himself.
Republicans passed the bill in the month, and Snyder signed it, and they just used it.
They just enforced it for the first time.
Guess where they use it.
Guess what they do with it. Guess. Guess.
This is great.

MADDOW: Republicans in about half of the states are trying to make it harder to vote or register this year.
But today, with the stroke of a pen, the great Kansas became the golden standard for almost impossible to register for a vote.
Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, a former senator.
You may remember that hem was one of the people on C Street.
But now he's governor of Kansas.
Today, he signed a bill asking Kansas voters to prove them. S.
Citizenship before the first registration vote.
To do this, to register a vote, you will need to submit a birth certificate or passport unless you have a more vague list of documents.
As early as February, when the bill was first supported, Kevin Myers, president of the Kansas conference of the National Association of People of color, told us that the voter registration campaign had been held --
Until the election of 2008.
The voter registration event was held in a park in Wichita, Kansas, organized by a group of different community groups, and a few hours later, more than 350 people registered to vote --
The man who just went to the park.
Imagine if the barbecue burger and the person trying to get people to register also asked for a birth certificate and passport in order for anyone to register, that would happen.
A lot of people sign up for a vote on a registered Drive in Wichita or grocery or Post Office --
In other words, where they tend to go, run errands, do other things, and don't carry birth certificates or passports with you.
It is a very generous estimate that only half of Americans have passports.
The Kansas voter id here is the idea you see a man standing here.
His name is Chris Kobach.
If you don't know him standing behind Governor Brownback, you may be familiar with his work, though.
Prior to Chris cobach's tenure as bachbach, he worked for the legal arm of the United States Federation of immigration reform, known as "fairness ".
When he was fair, he studied the SB 1070 law in Arizona, the well-known "please file" lawsuit --legislation.
Of course, the federal government sued Arizona under the law of "Please file.
So far, the state has been prevented from implementing most of them.
The same person who wrote that law, the same person who wrote the Arizona "please paper" law, and now all the people are tied up in court, he is expected to be a role model for other states in Kansas's national voter ID law.
He vowed it was fully constitutional.
Now, the "you need a passport or birth certificate to register a vote" clause that comes into effect after the next presidential election.
But Kobach said he would not give up.
He said he will continue his efforts to bring this regulation into effect as soon as possible
So if he succeeds, it will be in time for President Obama's re-election.
Election efforts, a new registration vote in Kansas is almost impossible.
As newly registered voters tend to vote for the Democratic Party
Well, it's going to be the right time, isn't it?
Now we are joined by Kansas Democratic Representative Ann Ma, who joined the House election committee and is a powerful opponent of this voter ID legislation.
Representative Ma, thank you very much for your time tonight. STATE REP. ANN MAH (D)
Thank you for inviting me.
MADDOW: I think that makes it almost impossible to register and vote in Kansas because we know how voter registration is driving the work.
When people go out to do business, they tend to intercept them instead of thinking about registering to vote, and they do so on a whim --
This is exactly when you don't have a birth certificate or a passport.
Ma: That's right.
MADDOW: do you think this is the purpose of the legislation to make registration more difficult?
MAH: Well, that's not what the secretary would have said, but if you knew about Kansas, you would have known that it was exactly what was going to happen.
Grass-roots registration will almost stop, even in the driver's license office where most registrations are completed, and for most people who are updating their driver's license, we do not have a file on file.
So if you go to the driver's license board to register for a vote, you can't do that either.
Now, the secretary will tell you, oh, we'll fix this, but it could be up to 2019 before all the updated drivers file in the driver's office.
MADDOW: if so, what do you think will be the actual impact
If this really works?
What do you think will happen to the voter registration model in Kansas and the voting model?
MAH: Well, the impact on registration is huge.
As I mentioned, as you said, efforts to do grassroots registration from door to door in shopping malls and grocery stores will stop.
I mean we can fill out 100 forms but you have to tell people
Well, hey, now you need to go to the election office in some way to have a copy of the citizenship certificate.
It will not be a few years of electronics.
As you know, there is only one state in the Georgian Federation and there is now a valid proof of citizenship.
But they have the electronic means to check citizenship through your driver's records.
There is no such thing in Kansas, and there will be no complete supply of electronic products in the next few years.
Do you think this new law will be challenged in court?
Ma: of course.
I have visited several groups that are active across the country and they realize that this is a very bad law.
It has some-
There is a hole big enough that you can drive through it.
MADDOW: Kris Kobach because of his history in SB 1070 law and also because he is very open and proud when talking about this legislation because he wants it to be an example for other states
He said with great confidence that if questioned, it would stand up in court.
Do you have a vision-
Does the person who is considering challenging it consider this to be vulnerable in court?
Oh, of course.
I mean, the secretary called this a bomb-proof suit.
He called it Cadillac.
I think it's a Trojan horse.
I think all you have to do is look at his records across the country and he is not able to write a law that is passed.
I mean, there are small towns everywhere, Hazleton, Pennsylvania, the farmers division in Texas, and spent millions of dollars defending the laws he wrote, which he claims to be the Constitution.
It's sad, you know, people in Kansas are very good people, we just want fair and safe elections, maybe when the courts throw away most of the content of this law, we can have a real dialogue on the need for a common sense security election.
But unfortunately we have to spend a lot of taxpayer money before we get there.
Kansas Representative Ann Ma.
Thank you for helping us get in.
I really appreciate your time.
We appreciate your interest in us.
MADDOW: Thank you.

Yesterday, two pictures of an American artist were attacked at a Museum of Modern Art in France.
They were attacked.
According to police, two people were seen trying to enter the museum with spray paint and chisels.
When they were blocked, the third person attacked the artwork with a hammer.
The day before the attack, right-wing demonstrators outside the museum condemned the art as blasphemy.
At the National Gallery of Art in Washington earlier this monthC.
A painting by Paul Gauguin was also attacked.
15 minutes before the museum closed, a lady screamed "it's too evil" and began banging the painting with her fist.
Fortunately, the painting is protected by a layer of plexiglass.
It is reported that the woman told investigators after a blow with an inanimate object that the painting was "very gay ".
"This is after another incident in October, when my woman drove nearly 700 miles from her home in Montana to the Loveland museum and gallery in Loveland, Colorado.
Once she took out a crowbar.
She broke the plexiglass that protected the particular print from the wall and then tore the print to pieces.
She later released a 10-
A page blog post about her motives, I will let you say that God also told her that blasphemy is evil --
You know the rest.
This winter House Speaker John Boehner and Republican congressman Eric Conto asked the Smithsonian Institution to remove a particular piece of art from an exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution.
This is the work of the late genius David warnarovic.
This is a video about the AIDS crisis called "fire in your stomach ".
The Smithsonian Institution faced political demands to cancel the art and quickly gave in.
They removed the work from the show.
Of course, in Maine last month, the Republican governor ordered the removal of a work history mural and the storage of it, not to be seen by the public --
Prompted some other artists in Maine to display the same mural on the wall of the state Capitol.
Hey, what are you kids doing?
We need to put the mural back.
In this freak show of international right-wing attacks, tearing and hiding art, in today's latest art attack story, there is a detail that is as exciting as the Maine mural projection.
Photos of the museum in France, Andres Serrano, were destroyed in today's attack, and museum officials said they would reopen tomorrow in order to display the exhibits that would still be destroyed, so that people can see the damage caused to them.
The Art of Life-Free cannot be turned back.
It can't fight back.
If you can show the attack itself, the only way for art to overcome force is.
See what it will look like in the bright light of the day.
See what this has to do with history. (

When we talk about what happened with the rust belt in the US, we tend to talk about places like Braddock, Pennsylvania, or Flint, Michigan.
But we should also talk about Port Benton, because you can find here the last social disease that accompanied the industrial collapse --
Failed schools, crime, high unemployment, contaminated land, corrupt government
Everything rusts with pain and frustration and has arranged a drug to deal with it.
Therefore, there is nothing to gain from Benton Port except heartache.
But it has always had a great public asset.
A precious gem in the community.
Known as Jean Klock Park, it has a beach on Lake Michigan and is suitable for people in Benton Harbor.
The park was a gift given to the town by John Nelis Locke in 1917, who founded the local newspaper and served as mayor of Port Benton.
Klocks named the park after their lost daughter, Baby Jean, when they were young.
When they gave it to the beach, they told the town, "The beach is yours.
The car is yours.
The sand dunes are yours.
It's not so much a gift for me and my wife as a gift for a little child.
Make sure the park is for the children.
In the near 100 s after that, Jean Klock Park was still a place for people to go for baptism and picnic, spend a summer night, teach their children to swim, fish, build sandcastles on the shore of Lake Michigan.
This is a beautiful park.
Port Benton has an important asset in the past. jobs—

This is the company town of Whirlpool.
But they closed the last factory.
Now, it's mainly a call center.
But it is also Whirlpool's corporate office, where people in Benton Harbor say they have little work in the corporate office.
As early as the 1980 s, Whirlpool was looking for a way to get some use from old industrial land.
One of the results, one of the ideas is the concept of public/private reconstruction.
The idea is to build a $0. 5 billion, $530-

People in port Benton were frustrated when they learned about the plan in their park.
At 2006, they asked Michigan at the time.
They turned to Democratic Governor Jennifer glendham for help.
This is a response from her office.
Quote "your concern about the proposed golf course replacing Jean Klock Park is within the sole jurisdiction of your local government.
This park is local, not State Park.
If you need further assistance on this issue, you should contact the local officials in Port Benton City to share your ideas.
That's the answer they got.
Speak to local officials at Port Benton.
Now, I can tell you about the people in Port Benton who are very few, not even.
They didn't even let local officials do anything.
Because according to the new emergency financial manager law in Michigan, local government in Port Benton is the first government to be basically dissolved.
On Friday, the Michigan Messenger website posted the news from the town's designated emergency manager.
Quote "so now, without the emergency manager, any city council, the prior express written authorization and approval of the Commission, the problem is resolved, or the authority shall take any action on behalf of the city, in addition to the order to convene the meeting, the approval of the minutes of the meeting, the adjournment.
This order takes effect immediately.
That's all you can do.
The meeting was held in sequence.
We have a meeting here and the meeting is adjourned. That‘s it.
State of port Benton
The appointed emergency finance manager told the elected City Council that they could stay.
That's it.
They can't do anything anymore.
The state-appointed manager now has full control over port Benton, Michigan.
They can even completely dissolve the Port of Benton if the government wants.
If it looks like a good idea, let the richer neighbors across the river swallow it.
You don't have to ask Port Benton again.
They have no say.
The law that makes such extreme measures possible was initiated by the new state lawmaker. His name is—
He's a Republican.
His name is Al Pscholka. Mr.
Pscholka is a former staff member of local Congressman Fred Upton, who is also a Republican.
Fred Upton is the heir to Whirlpool's wealth.
This is his family's money.
Critics call the State Act a "financial martial law ".
"It's called Pscholka bill on his website. Mr.
If you want to know, Pscholka represents the area including Port Benton.
He ran a coaching program there.
He said he knew the city well.
It's been a long time in his backyard.
In addition, he happened to be a former vice president of one of the main entities involved in the construction of the luxury golf course, which will transform the Port of Benton.
Until last year, he was a member of the board of nonprofit organizations.
The one behind the golf course.
Now, the first town in Michigan to feel the financial martial law/Rick Snyder bill teeth of Pscholka emergency manager is Port Benton --
Very poor, almost all African.
Americans, in his area, right there, are building the golf development that he himself has created over the years.
Now, the power of elected officials in the Port of Benton has been taken away by those who are already working to deprive the Port of Benton of its only citizen gem.
The only thing they left behind was their beautiful water park.
Sir, please put it on the record.
Pscholka told us today that he has no conflict here, all for the benefit of port Benton himself.
Quoting him, he told us, "capital flows to a stable place.
I think we all agree with that.
"You can know something about the gentleman.

Do you remember the average annual income of Benton port is $10,000?
When they announced the cost of the annual pass to this new place, the new port coast is becoming an important part of the Port of Benton, and they announced that a family would cost $5,000, playing golf there costs $5,000.
If your annual income is $10,000, you can hardly afford it.
You can even say it's out of reach.
It's time for the "education show.
Good night to you.
