In the latest consumer New Zealand appliance reliability survey, Fisher & Paykel dishwashers were downgraded by users.
In February, consumers gave the "recommended" status to the Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer model.

Commenting on the latest survey, the consumer website said that of every five dishwashers purchased in the past five years, nearly one needs to be repaired --
"Make them the least reliable equipment in the survey.
"However, their overall reliability has steadily improved since our 2005 survey, when one out of every three dishwashers needed to be repaired.
"The most common problem in a recent survey is the failure of the project.
But in the Fisher & Paykel standard dishwasher, door closures including seals and handles are the main point of failure.
The most reliable dishwasher brands in the survey of more than 18,000 consumers and users are Asko, Bosch and Miele.
Average ratings for Electrolux, LG, Simpson, smug, Westinghouse and Whirlpool are available.
The survey included more than 6000 dishwashers.
Consumers only analyze brands that receive more than 50 responses.
The reliability level is calculated based on whether the equipment needs to be repaired.
Problems caused by accidents or misuse are excluded, and problems such as surge and mouse chewing wires are also excluded.
