stove left on? don’t panic! smart home solutions for peace of mind - household appliances manufacturer
Everyone does this: you have left the house and then suddenly panic and be sure that you have opened the oven or stove.
Although you are usually wrong, uncertainty has allowed many people to go home just to doublecheck.
However, in order to avoid unnecessary home travel, there are several methods, some of which are relatively cheap: stove monitors: data compiled by the Institute for loss prevention and loss of public insurance companies, 39% of the fire started in the kitchen.
Half of them come from stoves-almost all of them go back to human errors.
Two of the three fires were caused by accidentally opened equipment.
There is a stove here to help.
Elektro plans to explain that this is the sensor installed above the stove.
It monitors the time, movement, power consumption and temperature of the furnace and the contents of the pot.
Some devices also monitor whether there is movement nearby and whether there is something unusual, such as a bag, on a hot stove.
If the device issues an alarm in an abnormal situation and is not deactivated within a few seconds, the monitor turns off the power supply.
Simple devices are available from about US $135 (RM553)
Brand products are $400 (RM1,640)
Plus installation costs.
These devices can be modified and both of their components must be assembled by an electrician: Power-
Elektro plans to explain that the monitoring unit is installed on the cooker power supply line between the connecting box and the stove.
Typically, when the sensor is installed in a range hood or wall, the unit is installed in the bottom area of the kitchen or in the bottom cabinet.
Thermal detectors: these detectors record unusual levels of heat in the kitchen, which, for example, may be traced back to forgotten pots on the stove, explaining the information activity of "smoke detectors save lives.
Conventional smoke detectors often fail to distinguish between smoke, heat and steam generated during cooking from initial fires.
When the temperature exceeds 60 °c, or when the ambient temperature rises rapidly in a short period of time, the thermal detector reacts.
In rooms outside the kitchen, experts recommend common smoke detectors because they react faster.
Water detector: a small box can offset the fear of water damage: when the contact point feels liquid, the water detector on the floor of the kitchen, bathroom or basement gives an alarm about the electricity coin initiative.
For example, this may occur if the pipe burst or the pipe broke.
Simple equipment is available for about $8.
Socket timer: iron and straightener may be the source of uncertainty after leaving home.
Usually the socket connecting the device can be sealed with an intermediate adapter with a timer.
A simple simulation model is available for only $11.
Smart home solution: the smartphone can control everything, even the house.
Using the app can remotely check if the device is really off, and sometimes it can be adjusted even after.
For example, this is possible when the device is networked.
Elektro plans to report that almost every manufacturer now has solutions for classic home appliances, such as tumble dryers and machines, so that they can be controlled through an application or network.
Alternatively, a single socket can be upgraded to monitor and control them from your smartphone.
Some models can be integrated into components, such as smart plugs, which are used as adapters for foreign travel.
They have a small base station, so-
Bridge to connect smartphones and sockets through home routers and the Internet.
The price of the smart home system varies depending on the equipment of the house.
