This is a home-made ventilation system.
It is made of a transparent plastic box.
The goal is to use easy-to-get components to make portable air purifiers or air vents for work and amateur activities.
1 x clear plastic box-
Sterilite®6 Qt clear storage-$0.
971 x high efficiency air purifier
Holmes AER1 air filter-$ 13.
High Fan 992x120mm (
Working with 5 v and 12 v)-
Protechnic fan 12 V, 120x25mm-$7.
5x21x120mm finger shield and installation-
120mm fan grill finger shield and round rubber feet-$ 7.
991x5 v to 12 v DC/DC converter-
Usb dc 5 v to 12 v step-up -Optional -$ 5. 63 (From China)1 x 2. 1mm x 5.
5mm female power jack adapter-2. 1mm x 5.
5mm female CCTV power jack adapter 1 x power bank 2 ~ 4 zipper tie band for fixing air filter.
Tools you may need: precision knife set x 1 ruler x 1 uses the exacto knife and metal to cut the rectangular shape of the HEPA air filter.
Fixed air filter using zipper.
Use the 120mm finger guard as a guide to cut with an exacto knife.
Make 4 holes for installation.
First put the rubber into the top cover mounting hole, it will be easier for the next step.
Pull the rubber all the way to ensure that the rubber is firm and reliable.
Connect the fan wire to 2. 1mm x 5.
5mm female power jack adapter. Red to +(plus)and Black to -(minus)
Connect the USB power cord to 2.
1mm female power jack adapter and plug the usb port into the power group.
At this point you should be able to see the fan running.
To get high speed, insert a 5 v to 12 v converter between the two and the fan will run at full speed.
I use low speed when I'm in the office, and when I do Arduino projects in the garage, I put it at high speed.
This thing has worked very well so far.
Some decorations may make it look better.
