"The Ninth Montreal Community Care Award will be held on Saturday, May 11 at Loyola High School.
The awards ceremony will pay tribute to the 12 individuals and organizations that have helped to change the lives of the people of Montreal, including veteran Alouette defensive end John Bowman and Fabian Colas, who founded the Black Film Festival
The awards ceremony also funded the red tide leadership program of the Montreal Community Care Foundation, an initiative launched by Reed to use basketball to help vulnerable young people understand leadership, business and team spirit.
Reid and his family immigrated from Jamaica to Canada when he was five.
