According to a recent survey, nearly three of every five British parents with 3 to 12-year-olds say their children are not brushing their teeth long enough.
A survey conducted by YouGov on behalf of the manufacturer of Playbrush-an interactive smart toothbrush that encourages children to brush their teeth by turning them into games-involves parents and parents of 1,000 children under the age of 18, 589 children aged 3 to 12 years.
The survey found that 58% of parents with children aged 3 to 12 said their children did not brush their teeth for the two
BDA recommended minimum minutes for each brushing.
40% of respondents said their children did not brush for more than a minute, and 12% said their children did not brush for more than 30 seconds.
The survey, which was conducted in August 31, 2018 with the launch of the first electric toothbrush Playbrush Smart Sonic, provides insights into parents' attitudes towards children's brushing habits.
Having children brush their teeth is a source of stress for many families, and the survey shows that 46% of parents agree that they are worried about their children's teeth due to trying to get them to brush their teeth.
About a quarter (24%)
Some parents say they have a temper when trying to get their children to brush their teeth, while 71% believe that technology can be used to improve their children's oral health in addition to traditional brushing methods.
Playbrush Smart Sonic connects to an electric toothbrush and converts it into a game controller that inspires children to brush their teeth regularly and for a longer period of time, with an app that allows children to track the progress of the game more accurately, parents can monitor their child's brushing habits and dental health.
