When shoppers visited M & S this week, they were surprised to find that the size of 1 Belgian chocolate pie was now reduced by one quarter, from 80 grams to 60 grams.
Other M & S casualties that suddenly contracted this week include millionaire shortbread, Rocky Road and Salty Caramel Hazelnut millionaire bar.

Mark and Spencer later responded to the objections on April 30, and a spokesman said: "When we changed the weight (and other bars in the range, we did cut the price of the Belgian chocolate pie, but obviously we didn't go far enough.
"So, I am very happy to say that we have listened to your feedback and from today on every bar within the price range of 85 p is available!
