
The high attention to the product has made Julie Lim a great success at Lampe Berger.
The CEO of Lampe Berger Paris's exclusive distributor in Malaysia, Jubilant Prestige Sdn Bhd, is pleased with the brand's growing influence in the local market.
But Lim thought it was just the beginning.
Lampe Berger is a company that produces aroma lamps (also known as perfumes or effusion lamps) and luxurious perfumes.
The lights were invented by Morris Berger in the 1890 s to purify the air in the hospital ward.
Previously, Lampe Berger products in the local
Level marketing plan, product prices soared on the roof.
At that time, the price of these lamps was at least RM600 per lamp, and the price of the lamps in the collection range was not less than rm10000.
But even so, Lim said, because of their catalytic diffusion system, these products do a good job and manage to build strong followers and customers here, it is one of the best products for indoor air purification and home fragrance.
"This is a ready market.
I was a user myself at the time, and it was very effective in purifying the air around us.
"We have been looking for oil supplies," she said . ".
Lim took over the local distributor in last June after her business partner who was involved in the brand contacted her.
"I think the idea is great and there is a lot of potential.
When the solution is still there, it is more about the solution than the product.
But now we pay more attention to the products.
"It's about believing in the product and understanding the quality and functionality of the product," she added . ".
As the business exceeded her expectations, Lin's investment certainly achieved results.
Within a year, Lampe Berger opened 12 stores in Malaysia through its main dealer, with an annual average turnover of more than rm7. 2mil.
Lim expects to have 20 stores by next June, with a total monthly turnover of 1mil.
At present, Lampe Berger has business in several shopping centers, including Bangsar Mall, Pavilion KL, Megamall in the middle valley, and Melaka, Penang, Johor and Sarawak
Its lights retail at least RM198 per piece, while the collector's parts start with RM2, 000.
The selling price of essential oil is RM138 per piece-litre bottle.
Lampe Berger has as many as 44 different organic essential oils, which the company says have various properties and therapeutic benefits to improve physical condition.
Lavender oil, for example, is thought to relieve insomnia, while sandalwood enhances calm and eucalyptus helps with breathing problems.
In the short term, Lim's goal is to recruit more main dealers and set up a Lampe Berger store at each major shopping center in the barm Valley, and encourage the main dealers to develop their own network to smaller shopping centers.
Lim also opened a Lampe Berger store in Brunei and Singapore to enter neighboring countries.
This month, another store will be opened at Siam Discovery mall in Bangkok, Thailand.
She is also considering opening a store at Siam Belle Palace Mall.
"Our goal is to have 10 stores in Bangkok next year, and we are considering appointing distributors for Thailand outside of Bangkok," she said . ".
"It used to be a luxury.
But now, it's an affordable, approachable consumer product.
"It works for all ages and multiple functions," Lim added . ".
With its first one
On the first anniversary of retail, Lampe Berger launched the breast cancer support program, promising to use part of the sales for the cause.
From now until July 8, each lamp and bottle of oil sold will contribute RM10 and RM1 respectively to the cause.
