Kudos to retail workers - electric toothbrush
On Sunday, I stood on Target's customer service line and saw not one shopper but two shoppers who tried to return the item in a rough case.
The first is a woman with an electric toothbrush and a man's razor.
She took out a damp receipt from her jacket pocket and all the relevant information in it was torn off --
I guess the transaction number, store code, etc-
It should be to make the return simple.
Well . . . . . . The first suspicious sign or just bad Lucca manager was called up to fix the problem.
He tried to piece together the tattered receipt but did not save it.
So he asked the lady for me. D.
(Driver's license, health card with photos, even city bus pass ).
This is a standard procedure in retail. Hmmm ….
That woman is not me. D.
To make matters worse, she was unable to determine if the item really came from this target.
"What other goals might be," asked the polite manager . ".
She has no clue.
She didn't buy these things.
Her husband did it.
Oh, what a tangled net we have woven.
Meanwhile, a man with a graphic print t-
He said the shirt was given to him as a gift.
Again, he does not have a receipt and there is no label on the shirt to show that it was actually purchased at Target.
The men's department does not have a similar T-shirt due to "luck", but he is sure it will cost about $20.
Oh, yes, sir. we believe you. Not.
Interestingly, both shoppers seem to be disappointed because they can't get cash or gift cards from the store.
Are you kidding? Obviously, the motto "customers are always right" does not apply.
But don't mind me: I'm just the one waiting for my turn in winter clothes and wool sweaters.
Fortunately, I don't have to stay to see how things will go, but I applaud the customer service staff for being so patient and polite.
You don't pay enough. I put up with this nonsense.
