
High limit thermostats can be found in gas and electric dryers and serve as safety features to help prevent the dryer from getting too hot during operation.
The thermostat is designed to turn off the power supply of the dryer heater when the dryer vent is blocked or blocked.
The high limit thermostat on the dryer does need to be replaced from time to time.
Fortunately, this is a job you can do yourself with basic tools.

You then need to find a way to turn off the power supply.
Verify that the dryer does not have a power supply as it is dangerous to work on the dryer when the power is still connected.
Step 1: remove the rear panel of the dryer vent.

Once you do this, you should be able to see the back panel of the dryer.
Remove all screws that hold this panel in place, then unplug the panel and set it to the side.
Step 2: remove the existing thermostat and remove the two wires around the dryer thermostat is what you need to do next.
Once you disconnect these connections, you can pull the thermostat itself down from its connection and slowly spin it out of the opening it is in.
Step 3: install the new thermostat from there, place your new thermostat on the hole and the label that holds it, then push it to the right position until it is fully connected.
Step 4: connect the wire to the new thermostat to test it to make sure it is securely secured inside and then start reconnecting the wires that are disconnected when you remove the old thermostat.
Step 5: connect the rear panel next, just grab the rear panel you removed and reconnect all the screws that fix it.
Step 6: Test the clothes dryer, reconnect the power supply to the clothes dryer and test it to make sure the new thermostat works properly.
