On Thursday, University of Canada sports joined the CFL in the annual awards night at the Vancouver Convention Center, and the three-name Surrey Children won the most prestigious individual awards in all university sports programs in Canada, won the Hec Crighton Trophy awarded annually to the best player of the year in CIS football.
"The last two weeks have been a bit tough," admits Green, who has had a hard time giving up his team's 62-year-old players --

When the 2011 season began in September, Green was determined to make his fourth college season his breakthrough sport.
After leading Surrey's Holy Cross Crusader into a perfect season in 2007, Green ended it with a subway Bowl Provincial aaa champion and a provincial squad leader of 2008.

During the season and that season, Green scored 3,692 yards and 48 touchdowns, respectively.
Green went through a real learning curve in his first three seasons, during which time he scored five touchdowns on 19 interceptions, and once the birds did in total19. Then came 2011.

"Green's name will soon be engraved on the grand old mug of the Canadian NCAA's Heisman Tropy, right next to the winner of last season.
Late Thursday afternoon, Vancouver Vanier Cup chairman Jim mulling was busy getting his toothbrush to clean up the Hec Crighton Trophy for the show later in the evening.
