OMRON has launched its new electric toothbrush: Omron Sonic.
This new product range consists of four different models, all of which are 20,000-
33,000 bars per minute.
OMRON has sold more than 100 million blood pressure monitors since 1973 and is aware of recent research by the UK Dental Health Foundation (BDHF)
It shows that the health of the mouth affects the health of the heart.
According to BDHF, bacteria in the mouth can enter the blood flow and affect the heart by adhering to fat deposits in the heart's blood vessels, thus making blood clots more likely to form.
People with gum disease are almost twice as likely to have coronary artery disease as those without gum disease.
The OMRON Sonic Style series offers four different models.
The leading model, 458, has three different cleaning methods, five speeds and a 30-second timer.
The standard swing mode works at a speed of 25,500 strokes per minute;
The wide swing mode works at a speed of 13,000 bars per minute to optimize the oscillation of bristles;
The point swing mode runs at a speed of 33,000 bars per minute, aiming at patches between teeth.
The model also comes with a compact and portable charger with three different brush heads and a variety of colors to choose from.
