hang glider pilot dead in idaho air show accident - home air cleaner

On Saturday, a hang glider pilot died after an accident at an armed fighter air show at a mountain house Air Base in Idaho.

According to television reports, Dan Buchanan was transported by an air ambulance, but later died of his injuries.
Col.
Joseph Kunkel called Buchanan a friend and a hero and said he had participated in the event for the past 36 years.
Kunkel said that it is too early to determine the cause of the accident, but the National Transportation Safety Commission said (NTSB)
Under investigation.
One witness noticed that the pilot of the hang glider tried to land on the ground.

On June 2, 2018, the Air Force Base website reported that "armed fighter Sky Air Celebration" will be held on Saturday and Sunday ".
It is celebrating its 75 th anniversary.
The rest of the event was canceled on Saturday, but the event continued on Sunday, with a focus on paying tribute to Buchanan.
"I am very proud of the brave efforts made by our first responders," Kunkel said . ".
"Shanju Air Force Base is continuing to respond to this and we are doing so and we are supporting Dan's family, his friends and the community at the airshow today.
"The mountain house air force base is about 50 miles southeast of Boise.
Today, we will mark Dan Buchanan and his 36-year legacy in the shootout sky.
