In the freak floods of Athens, anger at least 15 people have died has focused on local authorities as new roads have been built and no rains have been discharged.
After yesterday's storm, rescuers continued to search for six missing people in tons of garbage and floods, leaving a spinning torrent on the road.
A new downpour has swept the refrigerator, TV and other household appliances of many families.
The worst-hit cities were Athens Peramos, Megara and Mandra, three towns about 17 kilometers west of Athens, near the foot of the mountain of Patra.
Many of the problems there are due to the fact that drainage systems on roads have been blocked and reinforced in recent years, and what experts call "anarchy" urban planning and construction.
