It is said that if the government continues to delay the improvement of the product safety recall system, fire risk household appliances will kill more people.
Ministers are accused of failing to take action on proposals to ensure that products at known risk are repaired or scrapped.
The warning came from a team led by the London Fire Brigade, which said that tumble dryers alone had about three fires a day across the UK.
After the Grenfell Tower fire scandal, the problem became more urgent, which appeared to be caused by a faulty refrigerator.
The device is not the object of a safety warning, but many other fires are attributed to kitchen equipment with known risks.
Two years ago, the government asked consumer champion Lynn falls Woods to review the product safety recall system, but she said her advice was ignored and her report was kicked into the long grass.
Her review proposed the establishment of a small government-backed agency that could be funded by fees levied on industry to oversee product recalls.
She said a government-backed website should be set up to list all product safety recalls in one place so it is easier for people to find out if their appliances are safe.
She also suggested that agencies like the British Standards Association should develop a template for how companies organize product safety recalls and inform customers.
Ministers have blocked most of these proposals, and instead they believe that companies that make unreliable electrical appliances should be allowed to sort out the system.
The fire department said that despite the review and several fatal fires, there was "very worrying" and no substantial change.
Twelve months ago, the LFB pointed to the tower fire at Shepherd's Square in west London and burned down the houses and property of some families.
This was caused by a faulty tumble sit tumble dryer, which received a safety warning.
After the fire, the brigade itself made a series of safety suggestions, many of which were the same as those in Lynn falls Wood's comments.
The letter from the Federal Reserve Bank of England (LFB) warned: "People across the UK are still using white goods for a year that pose a serious fire risk and may be recalled or taken
To make matters worse, some refrigerators and freezers are still being produced using flammable plastic liners, which hardly protect the internal insulation foam from fire if the fire starts.
"We are deeply concerned that, one year after the Shepherd's court session, decisive action is still needed to improve product recall and manufacturing standards for white appliances in the UK.
The brigade said that, in addition to the number of deaths in Grenfell, which has not yet been finalized, in recent years, there have been nine fires involving white appliances in London, injuring 298 people, including Santosh Benjamin mutiya, who died after he rescued his wife and two children from a fire caused by the failure of the Beko refrigerator.
In his investigation, the coroner suggested a series of measures to improve product recalls in 2014, which are still pending action.
Theresa May received a letter requesting action.
The agreement has been signed by Commissioner LFB Danni Coton, Mayor of London Sadik Khan, and a representative of the fire brigade coalition, the National Council of fire ministers, and electrical safety first.
Khan said it was "unforgivable" for the government to delay the implementation of security proposals ".
He said: "The terrible tragedy that occurred in Grenfell Tower in June clearly reminds people how devastating the fire caused by a white appliance failure was.
The government and manufacturers must act immediately to help prevent any further tragedies.
Ministers say they have made progress in improving product recalls.
This includes "considering the framework of national institutions to support consumers in terms of product safety ".
A working group is working on proposals that include "consideration of a new recommendation Standard ".
