Sandy Kamen Wisniewski remembers that her hands are always shaking.
She hid them in long sleeves and pockets and only wrote them in block letters at school because at least it was readable.
As she enters her teenage years, the tremor becomes more severe and if she is upset or stressed, it becomes so bad that she will retreat from embarrassment and decide that it all hasMs.
At the age of 14, 40-year-old Wisniewski knew she had no emotional disorder, but rather a neurological disorder called basic tremor --
"Important" is not because she needs it, but because it is caused by no potential factor.
This is not a prelude to Parkinson's disease, nor is it caused by hormonal problems, drug reactions, or tension. (
Many people think that Catherine Hepburn is suffering from Parkinson's disease, and in fact she is shaking because of a primary tremor, as are Senator Terry Link and Governor of Illinois.
Jim Gibbons of Nevada)
The disease is inherited in most cases and it is misunderstood so badly that it is often misdiagnosed that it is so MS
Vivacsky, who lives in libertiville, is ill.
Decided to write a book about it.
The book is called "I can't stop shaking"
It was released last year through Dog Ear Publishing House in Indianapolis.
Her aim was to help with an estimated 10 million people suffering from severe tremor who often lived for decades without knowing what was wrong.
For example, ad John, whose head shook involuntarily, spent 27 years, as he mentioned in the book, "almost everything is being tested ".
He even got M. R. I.
The doctor told me that he had no problem.
Advertising modern technology helped him enter "head tremor" in the computer search engine and found the website of the International Foundation for Basic tremor, thus understanding the truth.
When he realized his disorder, his cheers awakened his wife.
He then recalled that his grandmother and all his cousins had also eaten what they called a "milkshake" without knowing why ".
Only a small number of patients with special shock seek treatment.
Wisniewski's book says that although there are several drugs that can help with treatment, surgery can greatly reduce (if not eliminate) the tremor in difficult cases.
For Shari Finsilver, she never even told her parents about the hand tremor that started when she was 11, and the surgery she underwent in her 50 s was called deep brain stimulation, which was "a life --
Changing the experience is like a person waking up from a lifetime coma.
As she is in Ms.
Vivacsky's book, "I immediately started doing all the things I couldn't do for 40 years: writing with my hands, using a camera, cutting with scissors, making changes on the cash register, sign checks and credit card receipts, take public speaking classes and dance with men other than my husband and son --
Most people take everything for granted.
"But most importantly, I was able to walk down the aisle at the children's wedding and hold my grandson in my arms with steady hands.
A thorough study has shown that in 96% of cases, primary tremor is family, a type caused by dominant genetic mutations.
This means that every child of a person with this situation has a 50% chance to inherit it.
After understanding the nature of the problem, most people are able to find the problem from their parents and other family members. But the so-
The so-called penetrance of the mutant gene varies greatly, resulting in varying degrees of disability.
The damaged genes interfere with the free muscles and can affect any part of the body. The most common is the hand, which can also affect the neck and throat (
Causing the sound to tremble)
Moreover, the frequency of legs is lower.
The tremor disappears during rest and sleep, but when a person tries to do something with the affected part, the tremor becomes apparent and gets worse due to stress, fatigue, caffeine, and anxiety.
The ad is on the hand-shaking person, and the shake starts when they try to write or take a cup of coffee or eat with utensils.
Many people with severe tremor have come up with ways to avoid such activities, such as eating only sandwiches, or never eating in public, typing instead of writing letters or paying by credit card to avoid writing checks. A woman in a Lady
When she learned that the disability law gave her note-taking staff to all of her classes, the books of vivacsky were able to return to college.
But many jobs are out of reach.
Jean moorework works in the payroll office until she can no longer read her own numbers.
Another woman was fired for being a waitress because she could no longer carry liquid and plates without spilling cups and plates.
Cervical Dystonia more difficult to camouflage.
Some people sit there with their elbows fixed on a hard surface, holding their heads in their hands.
While the disease can occur at any age, basic tremor is usually not noticeable until middle age, and then deteriorates with age.

They include beta-receptor blockers, such as xindesan, which are mainly used to control hypertension, and are listed in the form of Inderal;
Primidone found in Mysoline;
Topirate or topirate, mainly used for the treatment of epilepsy.
Several other drugs are helpful to some patients, and sometimes the combination of drugs is also helpful.

If drug treatment does not help, then the implantation of a stimulating factor in the brain's mound can block the nerve signal that causes the tremor of the upper limb.

Most people with special shock have found that alcohol can temporarily relieve their illness.
But over time, more and more alcohol is needed to help, so excessive intake and alcohol abuse are real dangers.
