Father-of-three disgusted after ordering a brand new £30 Oral-B electric toothbrush on Amazon - only to be sent one \'covered with saliva and toothpaste\' - oral b electric toothbrush best buy
An Amazon customer who bought a toothbrush on Amazon claimed that he was shocked to receive a second-hand toothbrush "full of saliva and toothpaste residue. Father-of-
Three Gavin Robertson purchased the £ 30 Oral B Pro 2000 on Saturday, but when delivered the next day, he said he found the brush had been used and covered with dry toothpaste, feel "disgusting ".
Since then, Mr. Robertson of Dundee, Scotland, has received a full refund from Amazon, but he is concerned that the staff did not check the safety seal of the product in good condition before sending it out.
Amazon is now investigating after the complaint.
Robertson, 36, said: "It's disgusting.
The whole thing was covered with saliva and toothpaste residue.
It is completely ranked.
When I received it on Sunday morning, I found that it was used almost immediately because the box was not sealed.
When I opened the box, the smell of toothpaste was unbearable.
When the toothbrush itself is not sealed in any safe package like a razor or other health care product, I can see it immediately and it is still wet.
Found pre-
Mr. Robertson contacted Amazon for a complaint and received a replacement.
He refused, claiming he was worried that he could not guarantee that it was not a return.
"I contacted Amazon to let them know, but to be honest, they seemed rather dazed about the whole thing," the father said.
They offered a replacement that I refused because they couldn't guarantee that any new product was securely sealed so I knew it hadn't been used before so I got a full refund.
What I am confused about is that a product like this does not have some kind of protective packaging, so consumers can rest assured that they are buying unused products --
In particular, related health risks.
After all, the razor has it.
I use the electric shaver and as I said, it is sealed and packed in plastic to make sure it is new.
Such products should be standard.
I would love to see what Oral B thinks about this situation.
"It's really too much to ask for a safety or health stamp on such a product, so we as consumers can rest assured that others don't wash things between toes with it first?
"Oral B run 30-
The day refund guarantee program allows customers to try out their brushes and get a full refund if not fully satisfied.
In Mr Robertson's view, that is why he received second-hand products because he was concerned that they would cross-appear in the warehouse.
"I know they have a return plan for the toothbrush that allows the consumer to" test the driving "first, but if that's the result, I don't know if it's a good idea," he added.
They have such features on their website, but they specifically mention that they do so because retailers do not provide this functionality for health products.
A spokesman for Amazon said that we are serious about complaints of this nature and are under investigation.
A p & G spokesman with Oral B said: "Oral-
B. provide new products to retailers only. The Oral-B 30-days-money-back-

For hygiene reasons, we recommend not buying a used toothbrush, but always buying a new electric toothbrush.
We regret this and recommend that consumers talk directly to Amazon.
