Fake toothbrushes found on market: Health Canada - latest oral b electric toothbrush

OTTAWA-Health Canada warned on Monday that consumers and retailers should be careful when buying toothbrushes after discovering counterfeit branded products in the Canadian market.
The toothbrush is labeled with Colgate Massager, Colgate Navigator, Oral B Classic 40, Oral B Contura and Colgate 360.
"If there is a suspicion of counterfeit products, consumers should stop using them immediately because the quality, safety and effectiveness of counterfeit products cannot be guaranteed," Health Canada said in a consultation . ".
The agency said retailers with Canadian importer AG Liquidation inventory should check the authenticity of their products and remove any products they suspect to be false.
On last July, a public consultation on the sale of a fake Oral B Classic 40 toothbrush was released.
Health Canada has received a report that the toothbrush bristles fall off and are stuck in the consumer's throat.
The real Colgate toothbrush can be identified by packaging marked in English and French with the words "Distr" on the package ".
