Dear Reader: based on the large number of responses I have received about the smell of smokers, office smell is a situation that many people face (April 30)
: Reader 1: "I smoke at work and wash my hands quickly since I started using soap and warm water (
After smoking and before returning to the office)
It seems to cover up a lot of smells.
The comments on my smoking have been greatly reduced.
Employers can help all by suggesting this.
Reader 2: "In my workplace, I have had the same problem, sitting next to a smoker, and the smell of tobacco bothers me.
My solution is to turn on the small fan that I put in front of my desk.
It helps with air circulation and I don't smell any more tobacco.
Reader 3: "Common
As smoking reduces the smell of the smoker, the worker may not know how much he/she smells.
"You smell like smoke. it really bothers me.
I have considered spraying some air freshener but you may be in trouble, is there any suggestion?
"You will be very direct and provide an opportunity to participate in the solution and acknowledge that you care about how they feel.
Reader 4: "While I was still secretly smoking, I sprayed a sum of smell in the air around me and let it settle down on me and kill the smell.
My partner never asked me if I smoked.
Reader 5: "It is very likely that this person smokes in a closed space before going to work, such as his/her car.
If this person stops smoking during this time, many problems will be solved.
Reader 6: "I recommend a small portable air purifier in the office.
It may cause a problem with a smoky neighbor about why there is an air purifier.
"The conversation will start and then the solution can be discussed.
Reader 7: "My husband is a smoker.
As much as I would like him to resign, he is not ready yet, but the smell can be unbearable.
One thing that helps him is to wash his hands when he comes in from the smoke.
His clothes still smell like this, but the smell of cigarettes in his hand is more concentrated.
"We have a toddler, and if my husband picks him up before washing his hands, his clothes smell smoke.
Ellie: If you show him research on how to seconds, maybe he will "be ready" to quit early
Hand Smoke may affect the lungs of his toddler.
Reader 8: "I used to be the manager of a call center and have received many such complaints.
Ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable working environment is the responsibility of human resources.
So the job of management is to tell the "smelly" worker that he/she needs to take care of their body smell.
It affects everyone in the office and, in turn, productivity.
"As a manager, I deal with this matter in a direct and courteous manner.
It's not a pleasant task, but it's a professional experience.
Reader 9: "If your manager and yourself are as uncomfortable dealing directly with the individual, ask the manager to send an anonymous email to the individual (
Don't do it yourself. it may seem harassing).
"If your manager/HR department does not seem to respond to your verbal request, please file your complaint in writing and keep an outdated copy.
Few managers ignore written requests.
"Or ask for a move.
Again, in writing, keep a copy of the date and specify the reason.
Feedback this is about the "coach" of physical therapy for customers when they are naked "(April 16)
: Reader: "Physical therapists perform physiotherapy.
Unless the instructor is a physical therapist, they cannot perform physical therapy.
"In addition, no physical therapist will ask the client to be naked.
This is definitely not allowed. no!
Not professional necessary
There is a big problem with the writer's hypothetical scenario.
It is totally inappropriate to hear that "personal trainer" or any other person needs to be naked for any type of treatment.
"Even a doctor will provide a gown for privacy if the patient needs an examination.
"Please encourage anyone who has been asked to take off their clothes for training or physiotherapy to refuse and report this request.
We should teach our children to distinguish right from wrong.
The red flag should have risen from the female patient, or her husband who told the story.
