air pollution outside, sure, but indoor air might not be great either - ionic ozone air purifier

We know the air outside is bad.
The latest headline news tells us that half of Americans live in unhealthy areas with ozone or particulate pollution, which can be particularly dangerous for people with chronic lung disease or asthma.
But when you hide indoors, the exposure to the pollution does not stop.
Indoor air is contaminated with mold, animal dandruff, pollen, tobacco smoke, radon, formaldehyde and even asbestos.
According to the American Lung Association, excessive inhalation of these pollutants may increase the risk of lung cancer and may lead to or aggravate asthma.
The Environmental Protection Agency says there are three ways to improve household air quality.
First, eliminate pollution sources (
Remove gas stoves and asbestos, for example).
The second is to improve ventilation.
Third, use the air purifier.
Note, however, that not all air purifiers can do the job as you would like.

Some air purifiers are very effective in removing particles, while others, including most tables --
Top models, much less.
Air purifiers are not usually designed to remove gas contaminants.
"A popular air filter, the ion purifier, doesn't seem to reach the hype of it.
These devices are designed to release a lithium ion stream that makes particles in the air live, making them easy to collect on boards inside the machine.
However, without a fan to move the air, ion purifiers are often unable to collect particles from places a few feet away.
They release ozone.
Sometimes, even if there is air outside, a little bit of ventilation can take a long way (
2011 kilometers of air in the United States. )
Maybe not as clean as it might be.
