He borrowed a few feet from his daughter Rachel's bedroom to transform the underutilized space-part of the corridor upstairs and the outdoor deck-into a favorite place for his family to hang out now: the study.
He admitted that there was indeed a downside to the room: walking up the stairs, you would see a nest of ropes directly under his maple leaf table.
