New York City is preparing for an extremely hot weekend.
The National Meteorological Administration issued a warning of overheating, which will take effect for five administrative regions from noon on Friday to 8 pm. m. Sunday.
Due to the extremely hot weather, Mayor Bill de Blasio declared a state of emergency in the area.
Temperatures are expected to reach 90 degrees on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The forecast shows that the temperature on Friday is 93 degrees, 99 degrees on Saturday and 97 degrees on Sunday.
Humidity makes the weather feel warmer than this.
Friday\'s high temperature index could be as high as 105, and Saturday and Sunday\'s high temperature index could be as high as 110.
This will be the first heat wave in the city in 2019.
Heat waves occur when temperatures exceed 90 degrees for three consecutive days or more.
It is expected that the heat and humidity will weaken by Monday.
The temperature is expected to reach 83 degrees on Monday.
The city pool will be open for an extra hour starting at 11. m. to 8 p. m.
The beach will open until 7 in the eveningm.
On weekends.
The city says 500 cooling centers in five boroughs are open to New Yorkers without air conditioning.
Such services will be provided in libraries, community centres, senior centres, and urban public housing facilities.

The New York Public Library will open five additional branches in three districts starting at one o\'clock P. M. m. to 5 p.
